Reading Village

Literacy is essential for participation in society, fostering good health, informed parenting, economic stability, and achieving dreams. Yet, nearly 1 billion adults—most of them women in low and middle-income countries—remain illiterate. Addressing this injustice can break cycles of poverty and unlock future potential. Reading Village promotes literacy by encouraging reading aloud to children, supporting student education, and leveraging literacy for academic and employment success, ultimately improving quality of life in the communities it serves.
